NYC 2018 School Survey deadline has been extended

Posted March 25, 2018 By Hal Miller

Dear Families,

If you haven’t already completed your NYC School Survey, it’s not too late!

Every year, all parents, teachers, and students in grades 6-12 complete the NYC School Survey, ranking it among the largest surveys conducted nationally. Last year, over one million people participated in the survey. Through this confidential survey, you can provide your school with valuable feedback and input on how well it is meeting the needs of your child in areas like instruction, safety, and family engagement.

Don’t miss your opportunity to tell us what you think! The survey deadline has been extended to March 29.  So please complete your paper survey provided to you, or complete the survey online at nycschoolsurvey.org today

To take the survey online, you will need your survey access code located on the bottom right-hand corner of the paper survey that has been provided to you by your child’s school. If you cannot find your paper survey, please use the code lookup tool on the survey login screen (accessed via nycschoolsurvey.org) or call the survey hotline at 1-877-819-2363

We looking forward to hearing from you!

E-Cigarette Letter to Parents

Posted March 23, 2018 By Donna Moscatello

Dear Parents/Guardians

We want to share with you some information about a trend that has emerged among young people.  The use of e-cigarettes and vaporizer pens is increasing.  There are various types of e-cigarettes and vaporizer pens, so we have included some images to help you recognize them. These devices can sometimes be mistaken for USB flash drives. They can be used to “SMOKE” flavored oils, nicotine oil, or cannabis (marijuana) oil. They are often odorless, so their use can be hard to detect. We encourage you to discuss this with your child.

These devices are PROHIBITED in the school. If found in school, they will be confiscated.  If used in school, we will have to take disciplinary actions.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Sincerely,

Carol Heeraman, Principal
